Taking the Scary out of Wearing a Mask to Work - HW Staffing Solutions

When the time is right to resume working at the office, you probably will be asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Although this request is made to protect everyone’s health and safety, you may have difficulty wearing a mask for an extended period of time. Perhaps you have mental health concerns that make covering your face a challenge. There is a lot of unease surrounding this pandemic, and rightfully so. Preparing for these issues now can help relieve potential problems down the road.

Here are some ideas that can help make masks less intrusive:

Get One you Actually Like!

Whether it’s a sports team or just a mask that is more comfortable. Do it!

Don’t spend a ton!

Some of the cheapest masks are the most comfortable. (Not always, obviously).  But your budget doesn’t need to be busted.

Have an extra on hand

How many of you have started to walk into a store and then remembered you didn’t have a mask, and had to walk all the way back to your car?  Having an extra in your pocket (yes, like the hankies of yesteryear) can be more convenient.

Make it fun

We can probably all take ourselves a little less seriously.  There are many fun options for masks that you can wear throughout the year, not just for Halloween!
